Gum Damar is Natural Resin Obtained from Shorea Javanica in Indonesia. Whitish the plant, the brownish are often harvested of rotten trees, mostly at mounties. White resin can be used for the pharmaceutical and dental industries, as a raw material for varnishes, and also as an image restorer. Brown Resin can be used as a dye and varnish (especially for color printing). In some countries it is also used for bitter additives for beverages.
